Coronavirus (COVID-19) update as of Friday, May 29, 2020:

Dear Patients and Friends,

After monitoring the national and local reports as well as discussions with our patients and families, both Athens and Lavonia will continue to be open for physical therapy appointments on a controlled basis (see details below) and with a limited schedule through May 31st. While we hope to fully reopen in June, this will be determined by evolving guidelines from local, state, and national authorities. We trust you will understand: we are doing our part to prevent spread in the community by protecting you and our staff to unknown exposures.  We will continue to be available. All phone messages and emails will be checked on a daily basis. We will send emails to keep you informed. Our physical therapists and Dr. Doerr will be available for telehealth/telemedicine visits. Please bear with us as we roll out this option. More details about how to access this will be available in the coming days.
If you have a questions for your physical therapist please email them at:
If you have a question for Dr. Doerr contact Ashley:
706-363-0769--call or text

Precautions are being taken for your safety and ours. The following procedures will allow for us to better control the environment in our office.
What to expect with each appointment:
When scheduling, we will ask you the following questions:
Have you traveled out of town by car or airplane over the past 14 days?
Have you been in contact with someone who has or is suspected to have COVID-19?
Have you had symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath?
We will require that you wait in your car before your appointment. The lobby will not be open. Please call us when you arrive so the front office may alert your therapist. They will call you back when it is time to come inside.
You will not be required to sign in. Your physical therapist will take you straight back into the therapy gym. This will allow us to control any transmission between patients and clerical staff.
Your temperature will be taken with a temporal thermometer prior to treatment.
We will ask you to wash your hands with soap and water before treatment begins.
Only one patient will be treated by your physical therapist per hour and only two physical therapists will be working in the therapy gym at once. If there are more than two patients scheduled, we will utilize the RxGym in order to keep distance from one another.
All equipment and mat tables will be disinfected between each patient.
Thank you for your help in maintaining these standards during this time. We look forward to continuing your treatment.

RxGym: Our tentative opening day in Athens and Lavonia is Monday, June 8, 2020.
Automated membership payments
will not be deducted for the month of April.
